“I just don't understand it.”
There may be gaps underneath the current topic that need to be identified first.
One-to-one support for students following IB MYP, Cambridge IGCSE and Edexcel IGCSE, with a structured approach built around understanding, confidence and independent thinking.
Individual support • International-school experience • Warm, structured and results-focused
A calm, structured approach designed to help students understand more clearly, feel more confident and become increasingly independent.
Sometimes the problem isn't ability. Gaps, curriculum changes, rushed explanations or a loss of confidence can all make a capable student feel stuck.
There may be gaps underneath the current topic that need to be identified first.
A few difficult experiences can quickly become a confidence problem.
The next step is learning how to approach problems independently.
IGCSE preparation becomes easier when priorities are clear and the work has structure.
Clarity+ is built around three outcomes that reinforce each other.
Students need to understand why something works, not just memorise a sequence of steps.
Progress becomes easier when students are willing to try, ask questions and trust their own thinking.
We identify priorities and work through them systematically, with greater independence as the long-term goal.
Grades 7–10 students who need stronger foundations, more confidence or support with their current Maths.
Years 9–11 students preparing for school assessments, mocks or final IGCSE examinations.
Students entering an international school or moving between academic systems and adapting to different expectations.
When the ability is there, but results do not yet reflect it. Structure and confidence can make a significant difference.
A simple process that starts with fit, then moves to diagnosis, a clear plan and measurable progress.
A relaxed introductory session to meet, work together briefly and see whether the teaching approach feels right.
A structured 60–90 minute session to identify gaps, strengths, habits and confidence.
Clear priorities, suggested lesson frequency, objectives and the appropriate programme and fee.
Primarily online lessons built around the individual student rather than a generic worksheet sequence.
Regular review of what has improved, what still needs attention and what comes next.
Before committing to a programme, the student can experience a Clarity+ session. The most important question is simple: does the student feel comfortable learning with me?
The diagnostic is not simply about producing another test score. I look at how the student thinks.
Which concepts are genuinely understood and which ones are being held together by memorised procedures?
Where does the student hesitate, what mistakes repeat, and what happens when a question looks unfamiliar?
How independently can the student work, and how willing are they to attempt something they may not solve immediately?
What's working → What's getting in the way → What we should do next
A natural, friendly portrait will work better than a formal corporate headshot.
I have been tutoring Maths and English for around 18 years, alongside more than 11 years working within international-school environments.
That combination has given me an unusual perspective. I understand the academic side of learning, but I also understand the environment students operate in: school expectations, assessments, different curricula and the pressure that can sometimes come with international education.
My approach is calm, structured and practical. I want students to understand the Maths, but also to become comfortable trying, making mistakes, asking questions and eventually solving problems without needing me beside them.
Replace these placeholders with genuine testimonials when you have them.
“Testimonial about improved confidence, understanding or results.”
“Testimonial about Cip's calm, clear and structured teaching style.”
“Testimonial about identifying gaps and helping the student become more independent.”
The student understands the reasoning behind the Maths rather than relying only on memorised steps.
Important gaps are identified and systematically addressed.
Difficult questions gradually become something to attempt rather than avoid.
Students learn to approach problems themselves instead of automatically waiting for help.
The goal is not to create dependence on tutoring. The goal is to create stronger, more confident learners.
Regular one-to-one support for students who benefit from consistency, stronger foundations and steady progress.
A focused programme for students who have fallen behind, accumulated gaps or lost confidence.
Targeted revision, topic work, past-paper practice and preparation for mocks and final examinations.
Programme recommendations and fees are discussed after the diagnostic session, once I understand the student's current level and goals.
Yes. The purpose is simply to meet, work together briefly and see whether the student and I are a good fit.
Usually between 60 and 90 minutes, depending on the student's age, curriculum and level.
Primarily, yes. Online one-to-one lessons work very well for Maths and provide families with more scheduling flexibility.
Possibly, depending on location and availability in Bucharest.
My current focus is IB MYP Maths, Cambridge IGCSE Maths and Edexcel IGCSE Maths.
The most appropriate programme and fee are discussed after the diagnostic session, so the support reflects what the student actually needs.
Most students work with me once per week. Catch-up periods or exam preparation may sometimes call for a different schedule.
Yes. Parents should understand what we're working on, where progress is being made and what the next priorities are.
If your child is struggling, losing confidence, preparing for an important exam or simply needs a more structured approach, the first step is easy.
